According to the Report on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in the first 6 months of the year, the main tasks in the last 6 months of 2022, In the first 6 months of the year, economic growth was high, GRDP growth rate is estimated at 13.41%, ranking 3rd in the country. Economic sectors continue to develop. In agriculture, production is stable, no major diseases occur on crops and livestock. In the industrial sector, the index of industrial production increased by 18.07%. In the service industry, total retail sales and service revenue increased by 17.5%, the value of goods exports increased by 11.5%.

The total number of tourists in the first 6 months of the year reached 6,820 thousand arrivals, equaling 68.2% of the plan, 2.31 times higher than the same period last year; in which international tourists are estimated at 44.6 thousand arrivals, 2.2 times higher; total tourism revenue is estimated at 11,557 billion VND, equal to 64.5% of the plan, 2.6 times higher. Total state budget revenue in the first 6 months of the year was estimated at 26,334 billion VND, equaling 93.6% of the estimate and increasing 63% over the same period last year. New business establishment increased 42.3%. Completed and put into operation and started some big projects. Information technology application and digital transformation activities in the province are focused and drastically directed. The administrative reform indicators of the province increased sharply. The province's administrative reform indicators have improved markedly; in which the Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) in 2021 of the province ranks third in the country, up 21 places compared to 2020. Administrative reform index (PAR INDEX) in 2021 ranks 14th in the country, up 15 places compared to 2020. The Project on Evaluation of Competitiveness Index of provincial departments, agencies and district People's Committees (DDCI) of Thanh Hoa province was implemented. The quality of socio-cultural activities continues to be improved; spearhead education, high-achieving sports results in exams and competitions. Social welfare policies and for employees affected by the Covid-19 epidemic are fully, promptly and properly implemented. Political security, social order and safety are maintained, creating favorable conditions for the province's socio-economic development; traffic accidents decreased in all 3 criteria over the same period./.
