In the morning of October 24th, 2019, the Viet Avis’s poultry slaughtering and processing factory for export financed by Phu Gia Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company and the Master Good Group of Hungary was inaugurated and put into operation.

The ceremony saw the attendance of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture’s delegation headed by the Minister István Nagy; and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Viet Nam, Mr. Öry Csaba. From Vietnam and Thanh Hoa province, there were Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province Nguyen Dinh Xung, leaders and representatives of departments, agencies and institutes of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; and related departments in Thanh Hoa province.
The Viet Avis’s poultry slaughtering and processing factory for export brings the breakthrough in technology and production model with the most modern automatic equipment and technology system in Vietnam up to now. After 15 months of construction, the Viet Avis’s poultry slaughtering and processing factory for export is now completed and commences operation with slaughtering and processing capacity of 2,500 chickens per hour, equivalent to 40 tons per day, and total investment capital of 300 billion VND.

In the ceremony, the Vietnam’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong and the Chairman of People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province Nguyen Dinh Xung both extended their congratulations on the project’s success and emphasized that the project plays an important role in the connection of the mutual future cooperation projects, and levels up the expectations to take advantages of the development potentials between the two countries.

Before attending the ceremony, the delegations of Hungary’s Ministry of Agriculture and Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had a meeting with the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province in the office.
In the meeting, the Vietnam’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong expressed his pleasure to meet again the Hungary’s Minister of Agriculture and Ambassador of Hungary in Vietnam. He highly appreciated the Hungary’s agriculture sector – a very competitive sector in comparison with other countries in the world, especially the livestock breeding and poultry and cattle processing. The Master Good of Hungary which is now an investment partner in Thanh Hoa province, is a typical example of the Hungary’s agriculture sector.

Vietnam looks forward to the continued close cooperation with Hungary in many other sectors in the coming time. He also proposed the Hungary’s Ministry of Agriculture to share its own experiences in terms of irrigation, prevention of natural disasters and climate change, etc.
The Hungary’s Minister of Agriculture István Nagy expressed his impression and congratulations to the speedy development and change of Vietnam in general, Thanh Hoa province in particular. He thanked Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Thanh Hoa province for accompanying and facilitating the construction of the joint-venture project between the two countries’ companies on schedule.

The Minister István Nagy noted that Hungary has a population that is about 1/10 as large as Vietnam, and agricultural area nearly equal to the Mekong River Delta, nevertheless, it ranks the 6th in terms of exporting crop seeds in the world and the 1st in terms of exporting poultry in Europe. Hungarian agricultural products have been penetrated into many markets around the world. The agricultural export accounts for 54% of the country's total export value. With the strength in agriculture sector, the Hungary’s Ministry of Agriculture is willing to share and cooperate with Vietnam’s./.
