The People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 4892/QD-UBND dated 18 December 2017 regarding the Action Program on improvement of Thanh Hoa Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in period of 2017-2020, in order to urge related departments and agencies at all levels to carry out measures synchronously to further improve the provincial investment and business climate, hence to improve its PCI ranking. Thanh Hoa PCI ranking climbed from the average positions (the 38th to 52nd rankings in period of 2006-2010) to the high positions in period of 2013-2015. In 2016, among Thanh Hoa PCI’s ten sub-indices, three sub-indices inclusive of transparency, business support services and labor training remained high and excellent scores in comparison with other provinces in Vietnam.
